You've probably arrived here from The Weather Underground, a mostly-free, globe-spanning weather network. Besides providing extensive forecasting services, TWU maintains historical data for KTXBASTR2 -- our station's "callsign."  You can easily locate us there by performing a search on '78602' or 'KTXBASTR2'.

In addition to the Weather Underground, we are members of the Citizens Weather Observation System (station ID CW3483). CWOP collects the data from thousands of personal weather stations around the world, and delivers it to NOAA every hour. NOAA then performs quality-control checking on the supplied data, and further distributes it to a variety of of government agencies. These include the National Weather Service, who use the data in their weather forecasting models; NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; the Department of Homeland Security; and many more.
